Timothy V. Sorell was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2005. Mr. Sorell is also admitted to the Connecticut State Bar. Tim graduated from California State University at Sonoma with a degree in Communications Studies and earned his Juris Doctorate from Touro Law School in 2004. Tim is an experienced attorney with over 15 years of diverse experience in the public sector representing indigent adults and children for the Legal Aid Society of Suffolk County. Tim has also served as an Assistant County Attorney for Suffolk County representing a child protective agency where he conducted numerous trials and hearings that made him an asset in Abuse and Neglect matters, PINS and Juvenile Delinquency proceedings.
Mr. Sorell is well versed in collaborating with clients to prepare and conduct hearings and trials, argue motions, and facilitate settlements that serve the best interests of clients. Prior to joining the firm Mr. Sorell served as the Supervisor for the Nassau County Legal Aid Society’s Family Court Bureau.
Since joining the firm, Mr. Sorell handled a variety of civil and criminal matters, including but not limited to Landlord Tenant matters, Family Court and Criminal cases, and Traffic ticket cases.
